So Kathy and I decided to head up to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria to scout out some locations for a short film were making. I saw some images in the RACV magazine that looked pretty good and thought this might be a good start.
The the drive took us about an hour and a half, weather was cold with some rain but not too bad. We stopped and had lunch at a lovely little cafe where our dogs were most welcome. In fact not long after we arrived some more dogs along with their humans showed up and true to puppy form everyone got to know each other.
So after lunch my aim was to take the dogs for a walk along the Bushrangers bay walking track. Well the word was 'aim'. When we arrived the parking area was quite small, there was a great picnic area though along with a big sign that said National Park - NO Dogs. Hmm that put the kibosh on that, so Kathy stayed in the car with the dogs and I wondered down the track on my own....with camera of course.

So as soon as I started walking the 'no dogs' reasoning was very apparent. The wildlife was every where I felt like I'd walked into an enchanted forrest, and I do love an enchanted forrest. The kangaroos were very active, very close and big!! Friendly enough, they would stop on the path have a bit of a look and hop on along.
The setting sun made an awesome light show. The short film will have us running around here very much in twilight. I didn't even make it to the bay, so we'll have to come back next weekend and get some early morning filming shots done. I can't wait to film here it is fantastic.
